Chihuahuas to Pugs
Toy Dog Rescue of Austin's mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome toy dogs who, without help would likely be euthanized. We focus on those dogs in shelters who are on euthansia lists, older dogs and special needs dogs. If you have the heart to adopt one of these dogs you will be rewarded with love and loyalty and the joy of knowing you save a life.
Angel
Angel came to us from a backyard breeder. His brother has one good front leg but Angel was born with only his back legs. At three months old and just four pound, two ounces, he is learning to get around on his hind legs and we will be getting him a cart. He is playful and when he's not insisting his foster siblings play with him he likes to curl up in your lap. He's able to get around outside to take care of his business because he can easily hop about on the grass. However, in the house on hard floors, he's much more tentative and walks slowly on his hind legs. He's able to eat and drink on his own and is a very determined boy. He gets where he wants to go! He's up to date on shots and will be neutered in the next few weeks. Angel needs someone who can work with him as he learns to navigate the world on two legs or two legs and two wheels. He will need to have replacement carts as they wear out and he grows, so anyone adopting him will need the financial resources to provide for him beyond what other dogs need. In return you will have a loving, loyal and playful companion. If you think you might be the family for Angel contact us at toydogrescueofaustin@gmail.com
